Cleaning and Maintenance
The stainless steel parts need to be maintained regularly, the frequency depending on the proximity to salt water, chlorine contact, and general air pollution, including fumes from chemical treatment of nearby pool water, and tiles cleaning such as acid washing of surface tiles in proximity to the stainless steel parts.
It is recommended to regularly clean the stainless steel in much the same way as cleaning of the toughened glass balustrade, by washing the parts with a few drops of dishwashing detergent in 500mls. of fresh water, with a soft, clean, abrasive free, mop or rag. Then rinse off with fresh water. Polish dry with a clean abrasive free rag to absorb the water droplets.
If cleaning tiled surfaces or treating the pool water, with acids or other caustic cleaners or additives, in proximity to the stainless steel fixings, it is recommended that the stainless steel be immediately hosed off with fresh water to prevent any contamination from airborne caustic particles, fumes, or spills.
